Has too much rffraction error. Stupid purchase. Should had rcalled that the size of the lens matters to avoid refraction errors. Ok for maps etc. but not good for any usefull magnification to inspect or examine objects.

I have been using tri-fold magnifiers for forty years. This one is well-constructed, but very inexpensive. Each of the three lenses are supposed to be 5x, making a total of 15x magnifier. In my opinion, the magnification is 10x-12x. However, if this is all you need in magnification, this is the best deal out there.
